Customized Training
Workforce Education is able to respond quickly to your company's
training needs and to develop and customize curriculum to prepare
your employees to excel as they adjust to new technologies and
environments.
Case study:
In 2002, Workforce Education was approached by the co-chairs at
the UAW-Ford Dearborn Assembly Plant and was asked to participate
in a training opportunity. The state and national economies were
struggling and there was a need to train workers to use the plant's
new wireless technology in the new UAW-Ford Dearborn Truck plant.
The EMU computer/math instructor working in the Skills Academy
at the assembly plant met with representatives who explained what
instruction was needed. Our instructor then created the curriculum
and provided instruction to the product specialists for a one-and-a-half
year period. We were thrilled in Workforce Education to be part
of such an important training initiative and hope to provide more
of this type of instruction in the future.
